Dollars for Doughnuts is a Web site by David Robert Wright.

I have a few major interests I want to share on this site: coffee, theology, music, and photography. Merlin Mann once wrote, "You eventually learn that true priorities are like arms; if you think you have more than a couple, you're either lying or crazy." Given that rubric, theology and coffee are my priorities. But music and photography are fond interests and at other times those have been my true priorities. They might be again someday.

I reserve the right to write about anything else that catches my fancy.

I am a student at Covenant Theological Seminary studying for a Master of Divinity. I serve in the music program at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Saint Louis. Previous hats I've worn have included system and user acceptance testing at Knife Edge Software, LLC, music directing at Westminster Presbyterian Church, and singing in the Corvallis Repertory Singers, including a performance in Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana".

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in choral music education and vocal performance from Oregon State University, where I have performed in William Walton's "Belshazzar's Feast", Johannes Brahm's "German Requiem", George Frideric Handel's "Messiah", as well as premiered works by Libby Larson, David Childs, and Michael Coolen. My recitals included Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Songs of Travel", Ludwig von Beethoven's "An die ferne Geliebte", and Maurice Ravel's "Don Quichotte à Dulcinée". It was a fun five years.
